The program commenced by invoking God’s blessings with a prayer song by the trainees. It followed an address by Mr. Umesh Kumar Mahapatra (Trainer, Support domain). He addressed the gathering by highlighting the core importance of ‘decision making’ play in one’s life. He lauded everyone for making the right decision here to join Don Bosco Tech for their skill training. He emphasized the importance of pursuing training in the hospitality sector. He encouraged them to ‘take risks and not be afraid of failures’ as failures are a part of life. In fact, a person learns far better from their failures rather than success.

Ms. Dipanjlai Barik (Trainer, Food & Beverages) welcomed the trainees and briefed about the wide scope in hotel industries. She said, “There are many exciting job opportunities since hotels have many departments such as Service, Front Office, Accounting, Housekeeping / Maintenance, Security, etc.” In this sector, she added, “you can enjoy the best of both worlds – the traveling, attending to guests, the making of arrangements and also come into the kitchen to develop their culinary expertise.” Not only this but “you can also step to work in such as restaurants, hotels, pubs, motels, luxury resorts, and bars,” she said.

To conclude the program with a light note there were some cultural programs by the trainees. Vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Umesh on behalf of Don Bosco Tech (Bhadrak). He thanked the trainers and the new aspirants for gracing the occasion by their presence. And the session ended by singing the national anthem.
